Takwe Kaenders

Takwe Kaenders is an artist and cultural mediator whose work weaves together art, education, and community. For over two decades, she has created spaces where artistic expression becomes a shared, inclusive experience.

In 2002, she co-founded Rothener Hof e.V.. Since then, she has joined various artistic associations, supporting intercultural education and the applied arts.

In 2018, she worked as a cultural mediator with KULTUR-LAND-SCHULE, connecting communities through creative learning.

Between 2021 and 2022, she deepened her educational approach with a certification in Artistic Interventions in Cultural Education from the University of Hildesheim.

In 2025, she founded KUNST RAUM at Schule Dobbertin — a space devoted to making art and culture accessible to all, continuing her lifelong belief that creativity belongs to everyone.

Her work, whether in institutions or grassroots initiatives, is always about bringing people together, to create something meaningful, lasting, and alive.
